FAQ Number 31 Date Added 7/30/2008Q: What do I do with the illumination and, or dimmer wires from my new radio? A: If the new radio you are installing DOES NOT have an Illumination or Dimmer wire, cap off, tape up, or remove these wires from the aftermarket harness so these wires are unable to touch any metal surface.
If your new radio HAS an Illumination or Dimmer wire, connect that wire from the new radio to the corresponding wire on the aftermarket wiring harness.
Always refer to your new radio’s wiring schematic for correct wire colors and wire function. |
